#Interesting comment about this product.
OK, so I was not a big fan Jensen. I really only Sony or Alpine stereo for my vehicle ownership. Well, I wanted to put something in my 2002 Avalanche, which some spiff it and more to bring in 21 century. I wanted to play something, DVDs, which allow many types of external connections, the iPod would be so good controls and easy on the ears as it was in my bag.
So I took the plunge and bought this unit. I bought a separateto use back-up camera, take this function and the elimination of annoying Blindspot huge avalanche. Now that the drive itself, and I can play with him was, that's what I found:
The first manual is a joke. It would be nice, a manual or a link to a PDF, detailed instructions on how to actually program features of different states.
According to The Play / Pause button is the key # 1 station. Somehow the odd placement, but I am used to.
The third HD radio sounds great. I left the radio set to AUTO, is changed from analog to digital own. I did not know what would sound HD radio, but if you click on, I said sure! Gone was the static and high-end sound is much cleaner.
Fourth iPod control – from an alpine unit is, in my opinion, one of the weakest areas Jensen. I miss, to use the volume control on my freeway. Maybe I did not understand yet, but withthe up and down to scroll through dozens of tracks to go is very difficult. And with this beautiful display, I had hoped they could have made the screen look more like the iPod. It shows the current song is played, and the next song on the list, along with a scroll at the top and bottom of the screen shows Artist and Album.
Fifth DVD – yes, a 3.5 "screen is small, but if not continue to wait somewhere, it proposes nothing. I hate it when the parking brake every time you want to shareto see a movie, but I suspect this is a safety feature. I will probably figure a way around this, I'm not smart enough to watch movies while driving.
Sixth Back Up Camera Compatibility – screen is nice for my camera. I can see clearly, and really helps in ensuring parking.
Seventh Remote – kind of clumsy and slides, but I think if I put some Velcro on the back and put it in the glove compartment that will keep them.
8th overall appearance looks -nice and feels solid. Display has a dimmer to three positions, and you can further optimize brightness and contrast settings.
The ninth quality sound – this unit sounds great – even with my factory speakers! Surprised that sounded better than my Alpine. Who would have thunk it?
If I could, given this 4 1 / 2 stars I would. Jensen is on track, and with a little 'fine tuning, could have a group truly killer. Definitely worth the money, buy one and enjoy!
